their home with 2 other couples. I offered to bring a french side or appy. She said absolutely no, this is a typical french dinner (They both grew up in france and still go there frequently).
SO, my dilemma, ... what should I bring for a host / hostess gift? I would like to do something from france.... Any thoughts?
I am open, could be a french scarf, or candles.... Just want it to be special and thoughtful. I will be bringing a french wine. Open to suggestions.
Thanks so much for thoughts / insights / ideas.
In my neighborhood, we normally do buffet / bring your favorite dish / easy peasy.... Not used to a formal dinner party.
