"Regular" green cabbage is about .59 (except for around St. Patrick's Day, when they almost GIVE it away), and about .89 for Savoy cabbage (both locally grown, not sure about the red variety).
A small head shouldn't be over $3 I wouldn't think.
How did the fool *get* his money?!
