I'm intrigued by Dawn_MO's kitchen tip (http://www.finerkitchens.com/swap/forum1/55262_REC_Herbal_Ice_Cubes___I_came_across_this_recipe_for_storing_herbs_and_really) about pouring boiling water over chopped basil already in cube trays.
Do you let it cool before sticking it in the freezer?

2nd Q: Has anyone just laid out the basil leaves in a very low over, then crumbled and ziplocked? My freezer space is quite limited.
