black bean filling, and tried the filling in pupusas. Excellent. I think the curtido is the thing that sends pupusas over the top.

Also, there's a Salvadorean place her that makes pupusas with a kind of pulled pork made creamy with beans and whipped lard. That also gets stuffed in pupusas and it's awesome! I'm still trying to crack that nut. :)
