when I was growing up. She called it scalloped chicken, however. It was also made with pork, but that was called pork dressing (or informally, piggy pudding). This is sinful, but she would serve it with mashed potatoes, all covered in the gravy. Talk about carb-loading!

And that sounds about right on the color spectrum: a proper feast plate should be white, beige, and brown. LOL
