A family member requested this dish, which I've never made before, but it seems quite popular these days. I found 3 good-sounding recipes online, 2 using salmon and 1 with tuna. Also, one has lightly seared the fish and not served it raw. And, only one calls for furikake, a salty blend of toasted seaweed and sesame seeds, which I hope I can omit. Do you have any favorite way to make this? I'd appreciate any tips or input from all members, just thought Cathy might be a good source of info since this is supposed to be a Hawaiian specialty.
